I have a 2006 525xi with Nav. My iDrive cut out about a month ago. The first two times I pulled the iDrive fuse, and it came back. Now nothing. Car runs fine otherwise. I've read that the MPM is under the spare. When I got to the spare, the well is perfectly empty (after romiving the spare etc) The question I have, is where is the MPM in this model car.

Thanks for any help.

Yes removed everything from the spare tire well. There is nothing there nor any wiring going into the spare tire well

09/2005 and later build cars do not have MPMs, the functionality of that module was integrated into the body gateway module.

there is a fuse on the back of the CCC, might want to check that, but I'd try to figure out why it's blowing fuses.

Fuse on the back was fine and it gets power, just doesn't work. I do get lines on the display after some time, but never gets a picture. It had failed, then I pulled the iDrive fuse, and it came back. That worked for a week or two, then it went out again, pulled a fuse adn lasted a day or so, then went out and since I've had no radio etc....
