Hey i have a 2006 550i and the passenger airbag in the dash section flew. The mechanic told me the entire dash has to be replaced but i refuse to believe that. Can the airbag for this be purchased instead of changing the entire dash?

Thanks

I have to believe that is BS as well, I dont think BMW would design a full fail dash if the airbag was deployed.

Call other dealers in your area and ask.

Sounds like an excuse for your stealer to do a big job. Any how it's covered under warranty.

BUT is a new dash required? thats my question to you. I highly doubt in these modern days that something like this is required

Like others said, try a different dealer. Also, look up the parts in www.realoem.com
