My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny. 2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter. Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.

Except for the dreaded transmission lurch (new tranny) and a climate control motor, mine has been very reliable in 4 months of ownership. I guess once you iron out whatever problems the previous owner didn't take care of, you should count on many reliable miles from your E60, with the proper maintenance. Mine is an 06 526xi. Enjoy your new car....

Sam Tang here toooo
Accept my first car ever for a Bimmer is the 530 xi with 39,000 miles with all bells and whistles including the wheel and tire coverage, CPO, tinted 30% windows all around which I find is hard to see out of at night when using the rear view mirrors, and 19s on new Bridgestone Potenzas. Now need to Mod with H & R Suspension springs, maybe the AC front and rear spoilers or M Kit, and maybe some light upgrades. The entire car is Sapphire Black except for the wheels and chrome Kidney trim at front grills. Knock on that beautiful Wood Gain in the spacious Cabin of that smooth and quiet ride. Only wish I could get some Computer software to reduce the size of my Pics to post her up.

For all the hype about Vista's media capabilities Microsoft stripped away many helpful features. When I need to do serious or simple image editing I do it on one of my XP machines. There it's a simple right click in windows explorer and select resize image!

VISTA .. BOO!

What kind of wheels did you go with?
I am new to this game and went with the quick break in cash with my local dealer. Got a 20% cost discount. My Local Bimmer guy convinced me to get the AR ASA 19s. I am kinda thinking of 20s now. But need to see if when the H&R Springs come if they will work. The deal I got with 5 rims and 4 Potenza 960 was hard not to take. Its a step up from the OEM 17" 5 spoke model. So far so good. I do feel a difference in the ride. Dan DTD

Thanks
I am still trying to get that program to my Docs file and upload it.
May be an internal Computer glitzch/...
How else can I save the Microsoft Image Resizer? When I click on it from the Microsoft site... I get a window saying
"The connection has refused when attempting to connect download. Microsoft.com"
Have to reboot Computer
Any other suggestions?

Do you have pics of the wheels? Do you mind me asking what you paid?

Congratulations! I have a 2006 530xi, 30k miles, and have only had two problems:
- iDrive screen went blank after a couple of weeks, they replaced one of the computers
- The steering able sensor went bad (like so many other people's)

I think I had a recall taken care of, but can't remember what it was.

Change the fluids twice as often as BMW recommends...
