I purchased a 2006 525xi in December. Drove the car home and had tremendous out of balance feeling in the steering wheel that appeared to be imtermittent. Worked with BMW and balanced the original run-flats four times with no success. Changed the run-flats to Michelns at 900 miles and had to road force balance the tires twice but finally got a good ride.

At 6000 miles I had the tires rotated and balanced again. Big mistake, Haven't been able to get rid of the vibration although the tech says the rims and tires are within spec.

Does anyone have any experience or problems like this? I have a Z4 and an X3 and have had no problems even with agreesive wheel sizes and sport tires on these autos.

I am completely frustrated with BMW's service and inability to fix this issue.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Bill

Thanks for your feedback. I am sorry you are having the same problems. At least I know I am not imagining it happening now.

I am spending a lot of time now looking for performance shops that will drill down on what is going on. As soon as I get some solid info I will get back to you.

Thanks,
Bill
