I have been looking all over BMW forums looking for a step by step water pump and thermostat replacement and install for my specific N52 engine. It seems that all the DIY's I found are on their specific model engine and a lot different especially on where it is located, Some models would illustrate on just taking it out underneath, some would instruct to remove the engine belts and of course the fan motor assembly. Been trying to do everything I can to integrate all the instructions but its difficult to even just remove the thermostat assembly by taking out all the hoses cooling unit.

Before I try or even manage to remove both the water pump and thermostat, is there a better way, illustration, pictures or perhaps tips or tricks on how to do all these the right DIY for this specific engine?

Appreciate all the help I can get to the right direction.

Remove hoses to thermostat, remove thermostat bolts, then remove water pump bolts. The space is tight, but then will come out from bottom.
