I have just replaced my 2005-1 Professional DVD with a 2006-2 Europe (BMW OE) DVD and it does not appear to have post code search .

Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was the solution, did BMW produce a batch of bad DVD?s or do I need the navigation software upgrading?

The car is a May 2005 E61 with Media Pack (SATNAV Professional)

Known problem. 2006-2 has no (UK) postcode search. Some London postcodes (first 3/4 characters) work, but nothing else.

If you have bought it from a dealer, you may have some redress - people with 2006-2 supplied with their car have been able to get them exchanged for 2007-1 discs under warranty.

Even when it's there, IMHO, UK postcode seach can be extremely ineffective.

eg Centering on a city of 400,000 population when the postcode is refers to a location some 3 miles out.

And why the h3ll is your dealer supplying you with a release which has been out of date for the last month?
