Hi I am a Newbie,

I was wondering if the voice command works in my car, I have not been able to activate; however, here is more information 2005 BMW 545i with sports package and premium sound, please keep in mind that I do not have navigation, but I do have bluetooth and it works with my iphone (the old one not the 3G). My address list shows on screen but I cannot make any calls from the bluetooth, I can call from my iphone and the call goes automatically into speaker in the bluetooth. I heard that only outside the US the voice command works and in order to have voice command I need to have a NAV system? Is this true? Does anyone know??? I checked my owner's manual and on page 221 there is a list of "Short Voice Commands" which obviously it does not work! I am more curious than anything...

you have to store the phone numbers in the car separately, it will not dial them from your phone. click the voice command button and say "options", it will speak back all the commands it supports. without nav, the voice commands only work on the phone.
