Default 2005 525i E60 Transmission Replacement

Can an used same transmission number be fitted in the car? I am asking this because mine is giving me codes and fail-safe no communication errors. This is what have been done so far:

Replaced seals; Adapter, Tubes, Connector seals, Pan and fluid. Replaced Valve Body with used certified in special VB test bed machine. ISTA-P does the Full car and individual EGS module coding with no errors in final report. But when filing the fluid (per ZF instructions) it starts making a whinin noise and soon after the following codes:

0x04f97 (20375)(0xF8) EGS: Ratio monitoring, clutch B-D, and
0x299A (10650) (0xC8) DME: Can fault management EGS (fail-safe-mode)

The other thing is that even that ISTA-P(Icom) can re code the module, under WinKFP (OBD) expert mode the flashing fails.

I did check the 16 pin connector wiring and properly seated.

Because all of this I'm not sure if the problem is with: the EGS, VB, or Transmission.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Transmission will go into fail-safe mode. First replaced the seals. After no solution replaced VB.

You do not need a new tranny. Who did you get your VB from and why did you not have your remanufactured. Also what refill procedures are you following? Do you have INPA to actually get the codes I and messages the car is hiving. The codes posted I've seen but doesn't give me what is actually going on. This can be cause by many things but in questioning the validity of the VB.

seanjordan20 thanks for your response.
I do have Standard Tools with the latest Daten files for OBD K+Dcan. I also have ISTA-D and P with ICOM tool. My concern is that if the VB is rebuild at $650, does not warrants that either the EGS is at fault ($600 to repair) or the transmission itself got damaged. I can get a 1 year warranted transmission for $1200 with low miles, that is why the question: For this model year can a used transmission be fitted without having to pay hundreds for the EGS to be virginized? Filling procedures are per ZF Instructions: Level the car, fill it up till spills, start the car, starts filling again, switch the gears, wait till is 30 to 50 degrees C, etc... . Soon after the car is Started and doing the gear shifting the transmission stats making a whining noise and then the codes. Attached 2 files, first is after ISTA-P Flashes and adapts the EGS. Second are the errors after trying to refill the transmission.
