Default 2004 N62, 545i idle speed question...

Am having an issue with idle engine running in drive at a stop geting an annoying droning sound/vibration. Am contemplating increasing idle speed in DIS57 but before I do that have the following question.

Ran around with INPA hooked up yesterday and noticed that the idle set point is at 550rpm but when the engine is at operating. Temp drops to and fluctuates at 530 something is that normal?

Does anyone know what this tolerance range is?

My Ride: 2010 BMW 550i M Sport. GPS, Satallite, Active suspension, Silver over Black in color with beige. 68k on the clock. My 10th BMW in forty years.

If I were youI would consider setting the idle at 550 engine at running temp and IN gear. If the outside air temps is above 69, the idle speed should increase close to 600 to compensate for Air conditioning system.
That's how my 05 545 Sport functioned. Interestingly, my 2010 M Sport idles and runs at 700 with no deviation. cold start RPM is 1K.

thanks for the suggestion.
Have already been trying to increase the setpoint thru my DIS setup but have not been succesful yet...
that being said if my AC is on she idles fine at 750.
If I could get her to idle at around 570 -600 I'd be happy with it even if in reality she drops around 30rpm it would still be good.
