Sorry to hear that ut DME got fried due to water damage
Now my startermotor is totally fried aswell as it won't start not even with the hammer.

I had the same issue. It started 4 months ago, car would t start from time to time. It will eventually start if I kept turning it. I also was drive one day and rpm went crazy and idrive said transmission gear malfunction. Pulled over turned car off; it would t start for a few minutes and it eventually started. Long story short I thought it was a battery/alternator/transmission issue and was ready to dumped my 545i. Turns out it was my "integrated supply module" which is under the passenger cabin filter that is under the hood. Took me 20 minutes to replace it and I'm I love my car again. Try this first buddy, I bought mine from eBay, ranges from $80-$130. Good luck bro
