Default 2004 bmw 545i

hi all new to the forum
i have recetly got myself a 2004 bmw545i in the uk its a 6 speed auto, the gearbox seems a bit harsh and seems to hunt through the gears so im thinking new fluid filter and mechatronics sleeves, but im not sure which gearbox i have as it there seems to be 2 auto 6 speeds available can anyone tell me which i have or how i can find out?? also the top speed seems to be 135mph its like it hits a limiter of some sort it goes really quick to 135 then just seems to stop, has anyone every experienced this? someone mentioned it could of been a hire car so they could of limited it but 135 seems a bit of a daft limit lol also someone mentioned it could be limited because of the run flat tyres. any help on these issues would be greatly appreciated.
thanks all
ryan

Remove move the under carrier and look at your trans. The model is stamped on it.
