Hi Friends:
My build date is 4/05 (3/05 should be OK too). A recent bulletin says MP3 for me with 20+ CIP. So, I had my free update to 20.01.00 done today. It only took about three hours.
All is well. MP3 playback works perfectly. And, I haven't noticed any bads. I didn't even have to reprogram my radio stations this time around.
I had to reset a few minor functions--e.g., door locking on dirve off. I forgot to notice whether the lawyer screen goes away by itself, but actually I don't think that 20 is supposed to make it disappear voluntarily on my car. I'll post back if it does disappear by itself. I was hoping for quicker Step shifting, particularly 1st to 2nd in DS, but I haven't had time to decide if it shifts differently. I post back if I think that anything significant changed on the shifting issue.
And, I want to reiterate how high my regard is for my dealer. I usually don't divulge much info, but, given my treatment on all matters, I want to mention that North Scottsdale BMW is super. However, I did complain politely about their recent change in the quality of the free donuts today. They went from Krispie Cream to store bought. Ugh! I also put a suggestion in the suggestion box about the donuts.

Since I updated to 20.00.00 I lost the possibility to use the small window to show alternatively map and arrows. Now I?m wondering whether the version 20.01.00 has corrected this bug. I would appreciate it very much if you could check that out and tell us the results.

Same here. I had CIP 20.01.00 installed yesterday. Transmission seems much more responsive, although, I don't remember that being what this update was supposed to address. I did have to reset my radio presets. Phone was undisturbed.

Znod,
You mean that:
1) You select from navigation a place to go.
2) It shows on the main window a map or whatever you have selected and starts giving you directions.
3) Then you select the map to be shown on the small window and Radio Stations on the main one.
4) The Navigation system keeps giving you directions and when you have to do something, like turn right in, let?s say 300 meters, the small window changes from map to arrows to give you more precise directions and when finish it comes back to map automatically.
If so, then I have to do another update, as soon as possible?

I have discovered that the answer may be no for my car on the performance dimension. To heck with MP3. Check this thread out.
