Hello all,
Fantastic! I just love the 545i having owned and driven it for two weeks.
I did my first long trip (345kms) and the car returned 10.1/100kms - unbelievable given the performance, fast, stable - just great.
Handling, everything is spot on - I particularly like the cruise control - with the little mark that flips around to the selected speed - great detail. It?s nice to have positive surprises after two weeks ? and my 5 year old son discovered the cup holders hidden in the middle headrest (when you pull down the armrest) brilliant!
My question is: Is my car unique regarding the slight vibration I feel when stationary through the steering wheel ? everything else is perfect ? but I do notice it when I stop ? the price you pay for such excellent direct steering?
In our Australian SUV the steering wheel doesn?t vibrate a bit.
Cheers

Is your engine have a rough idle? RPM's keep changing when you're stopped? Some have had that problem...

I just got the new progman installed to fix the CD run on and FM radio cutout problems. One of the items in the SIP was a rough idle fix. I'd mention it to the dealer if it's still got warranty on it.
Arrhrrhh As always there is one thing - here I am raving about the car - I still love it - and the air bag warning/light goes off wehn I get in to drive home tonight!
It's booked at a main dealer tomorrow to be fixed, I have read lots of posts - the Service Manager confirmed its the passenger seat sensor - it seams in the US there was a recall in some form regarding this issue?
cheers
