simple question, are you guys with aftermarket wheels, 19's or 20's on stock suspension? show me some pictures....and tell me what the difference felt between the stock ride and now.

I have a 545 with sport suspension on stock 18's and I've been debating between 19's or 20's. So if you say go with either 19's or 20's. I want you to tell me why, rather than it just looks good.

All looks and no go, doesn't fly well for me.

The 19s look good, but 20's with coilover will be absolutely fantastic. IMO!

The simple answer? Yes, the ride is harder with 20's, harder still with coilovers. I have both, and I really enjoy the stiffer ride. It gives me a lot more confidence in the twisties because the car feels planted, doesn't roll at all, and the grip is amazing (an added bonus is that my wife doesn't like driving my car because it's too "stiff") - it's a win-win

like others have said, depends on the wheel. 19's with a lip are too small. 19'' concave wheels look ok. i will always prefer 20's on a car this size. 19's on my e90 were perfect. but i'm spoiled with southern california weather so no need for winter set ups!

Personally, I think 19's are the perfect size, AESTHETICALLY, for the E60. 20's are too big, IMO.

How "big" they look on the car will be a function of which wheel design you have - lip, color, spoke design, dish, etc.

Wide tires with a stiff sidwall on 18's are probably the best overall handling/comfort package, but most enthusiasts, especially the younger blingier crowd, now-a-days will think that they look too small.

19's would look fine and they are definitely a little more practical for a daily driver by having more rubber between the road and wheel, especially if the roads suck where you are. Luckily the roads are good where I live and the 20" wheel/tire setup I went with are lighter then the stock 124's/RFT's I had before. Just make sure that the setup you go with is not heavier then your current wheel/tire setup or your ride comfort will definitely go out the door.
