Default 19's to small for a E60?

Are 19s to small for a E60 5 series lowered?
20s-21 look great! i purchased 19s so i would have thicker tires for my 9 month daughter that rides in back.

Depends if the wheel has a lip or not. If it does, 19 is too small. If it doesn't, it's perfect and looks like a 20. See the wheel I have on, for example. It's one of the only 19" wheels that doesn't bug me as "too small" when I look at it.

So, short answer? Depends on the wheel.

I love my 19s, i really thought that 20s were going to be a must have wheel size but the 19s worked out really well for me.

1. money savings (at least for me, the cost difference was fairly significant)
2. ride comfort (don't notice too much of a difference between my stock 17s and these, especially on the wonderful pothole filled chicago streets)
3. 19s look much bigger in person than you might think
4. as mentioned it depends on the wheels you buy, some appear much smaller than others

Anyway my VMRs are shown below (yea yea the car needs a new wax job ) BTW the car is stock suspension

19's look great on an E60, relax, enjoy your car. I have 20's on mine, but as others have said: 19's look good as long as they are not a step lip, step lips look like 17's. If they are concave they look as good as 20's. No worries.

+1

Same setup, no rubbing. Actually, I have 275's in the rear because I'm using the M6 offset of the M166 M5 wheel which pushes the wheel out more towards the fender. If it wasn't for that I'd be able to use 285s I believe.

I think my 18's look good, so 19's are probably good too.
