I've just updated to 19.x, now angel eyes are working, navigation system too.
Automatic gear is smoother.
No mp3 with navi pro yet.
Better then nothing...at least I have the same feautures I had when bought it in 2004...

Got 19.1 today. Also got amber LEDs back (lost with v17). No visible improvement. No visible new bug (yet).

Well, CIP 19 is installed now :
- amber LEDs are back (as everybody, lost with CIP17)
- apparently no new menus or buttons
- every settings have been preserved
- cosmetic changes like the first letter of words now always in caps
- one more visible change, the "entertainment" menu has been renamed "audio"
May be this is a way to know if an E60 has CIP 19 or later ?

Nice! I'm looking forward to my next visit at BMW for a service and a software update! Now I've been driving all summer with no amber lights!

I'm pretty sure I currently have 18.x and I'm debating whether or not I want to go to 19.x. Not even sure if dealer would do it if I wanted to upgrade. Doesn't seem like there are too many changes. Haven't had much problems with current version.

Hi
I had my 60000 kms service done yesterday, CIP updated to 19.2.
A few quick observations:
Bluetooth compability w/ Nokia 9300 has improved: still no contact book, but when I make a call using phone's pad, the car captures it instantly. Earlier, the call was captured only after answering, which was a bit confusing and a couple of word could be lost from the beginning. This is really an improvement.
Bmw emergency numbers added
Under "Lights" new selection box "Daylight running lights".
Didn't notice much more. The rear wiper timing still not working, and still no warning of open upper back door (the glass). Do you other E61 owners have the same bugs?

Another thing I noticed (keep in mind my last CIP was ver. 12.xx now I've got 19.0), the bottom left corner of the screen use to display the vent settings (i.e. how strong the fan would blow towards the windshield, face, and feet). Now, it displays the radio station or CD track #.
