Those look great! Are those OEM wheels? So less rubber but your ride didn't change that much?

It is really hard to advice, I had 20" and I'm so happy to be back on my 19", but this is really personal and depends on the area you are driving, my roads are full of speed bumps and pot holes.

In the other cause, if I would have better roads I would go for 20"

In 19" I'm using 245/40 and 275/30 for 20" I have used 245/35 and 275/30 and maybe if I would be driving the "normal size" 245/35 and 275/30 the drive wouldn't be much different

Perfect, my sentiments exactly. With 20s and these tires sizes there is no difference between 19 and 20 ride comfort. That and BMWs are sports sedans, for "ultimate comfort" I'd suggest Lincoln or Cadillac.

Essa, love the way the wheels look on your 5. Especially how the rims and tires fill up your wheel well...like if they where 20s. Did you drop your ride at all? Im so close to ordering the same wheels ...but I have the AWD 2010 535xdrive...what size rims and tires should I get.....so tempted for the 20s cause I want that aggressive look...please help before I go on to order a set I might regrett...thanks

I have the style 172s on my 550i M-sport, and I've eaten 3 tires this winter! I will need some cosmetic (finish damage only, fortunately) repair to one of the rims thanks to potholes. You'll see me rolling on 20s when Hell freezes over (or not, because the roads there will be just as bad!).

if you have perfect roads, do whatever you want. if you think you might see a pothole, ever, you may want to consider not going full retard.

here's what it looks like:

20's for looks 19's for performance. Just lower it. Can't do much with suspension with 20's i think.

I have been debating on this for the near future. I would want a mild drop on 20's but more of an aggressive wheel setup.......20*10F and 20*11R..Would this work?

You shouldn't have any probs as long as you get the right offset... Might even have to roll the fenders, not too sure though..

Here are some 19x9 +7 / 19x11.5 +1 on an E60. The rears look like they poke out a bit though...
