I'm now driving my third E60.
On my 525iA's I had in the summer 18" 245/40 Dunlop RF's.
With my new 520dA I drove the first 2000 km's with the original 17" GoodYear Eagle RF's
and now I have the M172's with 245/35 - 275/30 19" non-RF tires.
Much to my surprise the 19" non-RF's are softer (not in a negative sense) than the original 17" RF's,
not to mention the rock hard 18" RF tires.
The sound increase from 17" to 19" is hardly noticeable, the 19" SportMaxx's are even quieter on some highways!
PS. My winter Nokian RSi's are also RF's but the most quiet tire of them all and not too hard either.
