My Ride: 2004 545i (06/04 Build) SMG, Titanium Grey, Black Dakota, Euro Reflectors, CIP 16.2

Got my 06/2004 build 545 SMG back from the dealer last Friday. It went in for 16.2, new Dunlops and door seals.
The dealer replaced the Dunlops at 100% under warrantee, my front tyres are almost completely bald at 8500 miles. I paid for the allignment ($149).
SA said no door seals available, so they just lub them. I wasn't going to agrue since I will have to bring the car back in about 3K for the first oil change.
The first thing I noticed about 16.2 is how soft the ride is compared to what I have previously. Could it be the new Dunlops? Could it be the version of 16.2 I got is not for the sports package's version? Any body else feel the same about 16.2 as far as ride is concern?

Non sport package cars do not have active roll. Also, the active roll controls the stabilizer but does not effect the shocks. I guess they could have improved the roll stabilization to improve the ride, but my guess would be you are feeling the effects of an improved tire.

Software does not affect ride. You may feel a smoother engine but you softer ride and maybe lighter steering feel is becasue of your new tires.
