That's nice! In many places they only show "over speed" and not actual readings when You drive more than 20km / 15mls too fast.
Maybe there WAS police waiting?

My Ride: 2005 545i, 6 speed, black sapphire with beige leather, style 128 wheels, and clear bra.
Did 140 mph yesterday. Spoke with CHP officer and asked him what he would do if he caught me. He stated he would have handcuffed me and impounded my car for 30 days. I told him the freeway was clear but that did not matter. I will definately be careful when driving over 100mph. He stated it is the officers discretion to impound car. He typically will if he catches people over 100 mph.

The E60 and E63 are such solid cars, that as has been pointd out, it's realy not hard to drive at high speeds all day long without drama. That's the whole idea. Unfortunately, we can't import good driving ettiquette and Autobahnan as easily as we can fine-nandling German cars.
Oh year, back on topic and off my soapbox: I occasionally drove 130 to 140 mph during my Euro Delivery - with and without my family. First time was from Munich to Dingolfing for the factory tour, and it was a treat that I'll long remember. The car is so solid tracking on the road that you can take your hands off at >100 mph ... but I wouldn't recommend it. My daughter wrote postcards to her friends from the back seat as we did 140 en route to Paris. Great car(s)!

Only took the E60 up to 136mph or so.
