Some of you may know this. I just discovered it over the weekend.

I had the auxillary input installed a few weeks back and BMW installed the jack in the glove box next to where the flashlight is. Wanting a power supply in the glove box to power/charge the ipod, I purchased the 12V converter from Circle BMW ($13 with shipping).

I thought this power supply would be on only when the car is on but not true. I noticed the ipod continued to charge after I had turned the car off.

So if anybody is looking for continuous 12v power supply, there you go!

How long after you turned the car off did you verify that the iPod was still charging? To be sure it stays hot constantly, you need to wait more than 16 minutes for the car to go to sleep.

To do the test, make sure that you can see if the iPod is charging from outside the car (or leave a window down) because if you open the door of a sleeping car, it wakes up...

Not heard of this before - so this is an adapter that plugs where the torch would go and gives you a useable socket? If so - cool - do you have pics / part number?

Cheers, Clive
