And the winner is.....DrLev99

Yes, the doc is right. those are indeed x3 wheels. check out the printout of the etk...

i would give it a try with 30mm spacers (on each side)... i am surprised your rear wheels fitted.

Please don't use 30mm spacers....take them back or sell them. You can't use these.

There should be the ET number stamped in them somewhere. You are deffo running the 8.5 up fornt (sorry if that sounds stupid), plus I can't believe that spacers would not have made a difference as the difference in offset from what you have said is only 4mm.
The IS # is the offset (ET). They're all wrong for an e60.

Edit: Just noticed Doc already said this. ^^^^^

Guys, you are great as always, I appreciate your help. The SofB that sold me the wheels has been ignoring my calls all afternoon. Thanks again.

You got the X3 128's....the offsets ET51, ET46 (IS figure.....stamped right on the rims). No wonder they don't fit!! Take them back to that guy who sold them to you and lied to you.

Now you got me going! I'm not sure about the spacer size, I was so upset when he told me they don't fit that I did not think about asking about the size of the spacers + I've heard from members on this forum that using spacers in the front is a problem especially vibration. Is there was for me to verify if the 8.5 will fit without have the tire on as we removed the tires off the wheels earlier.
I run 15MM spacers on my front wheels with no problems at all. Spacers should work fine if they are just filling the "gap" between the offset of the wheel and the offset that you need. It's when you go wider than the overall OEM offset with spacers that you may have issues. And you need longer bolts.

You cannot use spacers for offsets of 51 and 46. You would need 30mm spacersr, that is unsafe and ridiculous. Anyone who uses spacers more than 10 mm is asking for trouble

Up to 12 and 15 in the rear seems ok, from the feedback of numerous people here running those sizes. But I wouldn't run them in front. I tried H&R 12mm on the M5 fronts and got vibration.
