I went in this morning to get the 128 Wheels installed on my car. The tire shop put in the new tires (GoodYear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 245/35 R19 & 275/30 R19) on the wheels and bolted the rear one on the car and looked great. The guy gets to the front, he bolts the wheel then notices that the wheel is not turning. Make a long story short the rubber is touching the control arm to the point where he couldn't move the wheel. How could that be? Is there two different sets of 128s from BMW? According to the guy that I bought them off, these wheels came off a 745i and should fit the E60. Before I bought them I went to a near by tire shop and tried the rear wheel on the car which fitted properly and based on that I bought the set but never thought about trying the fronts as I know several members on this forum are using the 128s on E60. I called the dealer (parts department) the guy I spoke to tells me that there are two different sets for the 545i & 745i and to the know the difference I should look on the wheel for ET18 which is for the 545i or ET22 which for the 745i. I could not find either on the RIM. These wheels are BMW OEM and they are stumped on the inside BMW Germany. WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
Any help is much appreciated. I'm in a limbo now, trying to negotiate with the tire shop to replace the 19s with 18s and put my old 124s on but that is a challenge at this point. Another story!
I've attached couple of pics on the wheels with the info that is stumped on and the size.

The tire shop tried couple of spacers but did not make a difference + spacers in the front , you are looking for trouble with vibration.

There should be the ET number stamped in them somewhere. You are deffo running the 8.5 up fornt (sorry if that sounds stupid), plus I can't believe that spacers would not have made a difference as the difference in offset from what you have said is only 4mm.

The 245/35 were at the front and the guy that was installing the wheel checked four different kinds of spacers but the tire was touching the control arm. I checked all four wheels no ET number the only think I have is what I show in the attached pics.

Now you got me going! I'm not sure about the spacer size, I was so upset when he told me they don't fit that I did not think about asking about the size of the spacers + I've heard from members on this forum that using spacers in the front is a problem especially vibration. Is there was for me to verify if the 8.5 will fit without have the tire on as we removed the tires off the wheels earlier.

You got the X3 128's....the offsets ET51, ET46 (IS figure.....stamped right on the rims). No wonder they don't fit!! Take them back to that guy who sold them to you and lied to you.
