The comfort seats are, by far, the best automobile seats I've ever sat in. You can adjust the side bolsters to support you perfectly no matter what your 'width', and the upper seatback/headrest adjust combined with the unique headrests means you can actually use the headrests when you want. I find it very relaxing on long trips just to let my head rest against the support to relieve my neck muscles. You will not regret getting the comfort seats, I have not heard one person who doesn't rave about them.

There's 5 things I would like to have: the comforts seats, rear air bags,? automatic rear shade, HUD and Navigation.

For sure on the next one.

Comfort seats add whiplash protection. And for a few hundred more you can have the rear side-impact airbags too. Nothing like putting a price on safety.

The are by far the best! They have all the adjustments like the sport seat, but are more comfortable...
I have them adjusted like sports seats...
Having back problems I really need them and this is the first car where I can drive 6 hours without getting any pain or stiffness in my back...

Are there differences between the 5er comfort seats vs. the comfort seats in the 7er?

Don't expect comfort seats to be like your lazy-boy. They're not.

Do spent the money, you'll be glad you did. During my back to back test drive, after hoping from comfort seat to sport seat, I felt like sliping out of a pair of Nike sneakers into a ski boot. (a bit exageration, but something like that)

$1,200 is a lot of money since for My05, you're getting the lumbar suport as standard for sport and standard seats, but the comfort seat's cost was never adjusted for this.

You make the call, if you've got the dough, then get it bros. It's worth it.

No. The comfort seats in the 5 are the ones that are in the 7. They are available for the first time on the 5, so maybe in the near future the comfort seats in the 7 get improved, but currently they are the same. The only thing you can't have in the 5 is the cofort seats in the rear...
