Ask a tech in the service dept to check if its 11.3 or 12.0... Also once you know this the production date would be handy

Cheers!

Ask them to print the computer screen with the version information for you... I would also ask for a vehicle history report (I keep mine in my BMW Service folder).

False alarm.

I finally picked my car up this morning from Monday's service. The service manager told me the software upgrade was to v11.3.

However, he also said that he had in fact received v12 yesterday (Thursday, 7/1). Since I have not had any s/w issues to date, I didn't ask him to do that upgrade as well.

The quick way to tell if you have CIP 12.0 with Nav Pro cars is to see if both buttons can be programmed. (diamond button can now be programmed)....

Did you get your car updated or have you always been able to use both buttons?

just went to the dealer today to fix my "restrain fault error". The advisor showed me the print that shows ver 12 has been installed on my car today. He said he just received the download for ver 12 in these past 2 days.

So far, not too many differences. the one that i notice is from the "units", on the hour we have "hour memo" now.

so far i notice only these things. Havent tried the mp3 thing though. Will report if find anything more.
