100,000 Mile Service
#1
Hello everyone,
I have heard a lot about this 100K mile service... my question is what's included in the 100K mile service?
I know spark plugs are included in the service... does anyone know what else?
Thanks!

As Nerweezy said go check your I - Drive . God Kids these days lol.
But seariously it will tell you everything that is due. and anything that isnt serviceable no way of telling.
You may need a particle filter at that mileage.

- Annual hydraulic flush
- Power steering system flush (30k intervals)
- Cooling system componet service - no specific mileage mentioned but if you have all original components at 100k, you might want to closely inspect everything.
Personally I'm trying to figure out when an auto trans service is appropriate.

the transmissions have from what i know life time grade oil!
and the brake fluid will show up after 2 years,
never heard of the power steering flush!!!! that is well over the top i would say.
there is no said interval on the cooling system. They will give the coolant a test to see its efficent enough if not give you a recommendation

I'd bet the oxygen sesnors are on the list. The e39 has them on its 100K mile list and I suspect that is true for the e60 and many other cars. Figure the dealer will charge about $150 per sensor, cheaper if you do it youreslf or at an independent shop. I am not sure how many you have, the e39 six has 4.
