i only use it when i have see the curb along my right side or sometimes there is no car next to me and want to make sure i park w/i the lines/stall. other times, i have pdc

Yes we use it. We have a lot of high curbs and the streets are not like the ones in the States. So having a car with the size of the 5series you have to park very close to the curb to leave enough space for others to drive by. Streets are narrow over here.
I usually park about 1-3 inches next to the curb...
