that is so cheap, especially with the current exchange rate (low Dollar).......... this is the price we pay for a Honda Civic here
37K would not even buy you a stripped 320i and you guys can have M3 already for that

Used... or sometimes CPO from a dealer... but I have seen many out there that people just don't take care of. Who could abuse a BMW and not wash/WAX and put a blanket over at night... ok.. maybe no a blanket

actually not. the VAT tax is only 15-19% in Europe and in most cases it is deductable of your taxes.
in fact it is not that the cars in Europe are expensive....no but
the point is that due to very high competition and strong market the cars are CHEAP in USA

Interesting. I always thought there was also a tax on the size (displacement) of engine used (one reason for Audi and Volvo to get so heavy into turbos). I also always thought that there were more options in the EU if you wanted a car.

And not all cars are cheaper here. I'm sure a 1993 Land Rover Defender 110 V8 wouldn't sell for $30,000 to $60,000 over there. Even '95-'97 Defender 90's sell in the $30,000 to $40,000 range here.
