Hello guys, good evening from here. I need your help.1) My 2004, e60 525i produces some pinging sound whenever you accelerate suddenly to gain a new speed. Most times it doesn't happen when you set out first in the morning, but when the engine has warmed up sufficiently you can hear the sound, though not too loud. Need some ideas on what could be the solution.
2). Prolonged cranking before starting, The very first starting in the morning before setting out, starts normally, but subsequent ones after the engine has warmed up will experience long cranking before starting. Kindly assist me with possible causes of all these. Thank you.

Regarding the long cranking cycle, here's a few ideas and possible causes
The wire on the crank sensor could be shorting and you need a new crank sensor
o Could be fuel pump pressure specifically the fuel pump controller
o the fuel pump going bad
o fuel rail pressure
o fuel pressure regulator
o vacuum leak
o a bad tank of gas
o MAF sensor malfunctioning
