Looked at my car today and realized that my tail light is cracking from the inside?? anyone have the same problem??

I snapped 2 pictures of it....debating if I should buy new lights?

 

Whoa, haven't seen this before. Shoot pictures a little further so we can better see the damage?

 

Ha! I have the exact thing on my right tail light. Looks like your first pic but not as bad. I noticed a couple years ago in the summer as I walked by and it flashed me from the reflection. During my last vehicle check at dealer just at the end of my warranty I showed this to them. When I collected the car nothing had beed done and they basically told me something had hit the light and caused this damage. I do have to admit, it is minor, but I'm assuming it will get worse. I escalated it to the GM and this guy was an absolute D! Refused to do anything and told me that when the part is reviewed under warranty and if this review determines that it was damaged the dealer will not be reimbursed and the cost of this light is over 400 a side. The light has never been hit not damaged. The issue is clearly on the inside. So far, it hasn't gotten any worse. If you still have any warranty left you can always see what they will do.

 

My right light is cracked also. However i know what happened. Some idiot.......was changing the battery and leaned against the light. I noticed the crack after.
