You should put it in the classified section. I'm sure the Moderator will move it. Very nice BTW. That's basically my car before my mods but one year older..GLWS. Somebody will get a nice piece.

Love the wheels, are they OEM or reps?

Personally I think the seller is asking to much for that amount you can pick up a M5. Clean car no doubt.

I agree. Beautiful car but the price is way to high.
My dad just bought a super clean, loaded, 2010 535i with 55,000 for $29,000.

Thank you! They are new, just put them on at 28,000 miles. Unfortunately there are two small curb nicks :-(

Thank you for the comment, but there is a very big difference between a 535i and a 550i also a very big difference between 35,000 miles and 55,000. Not really a fair comparison.

Thanks!

In all honesty, I agree, the price is far too high. The differences between a 550i and 535i are pretty negligible in most regards; one comes with a Turbo'd I6 and one is a naturally aspirated V8. Slap a JB4 (which is pretty damn cheap) and the barometer between which would be the better buy is heavily in favor of a 535i.

All I'm saying is I think you're a little on the wrong side of the $30k mark, I can see you getting $35k, but anything above that is insane, especially when you're asking for basically $40k.

Very nice car, but mileage and age were very consistent in the aforementioned comparison--for you also forgot to point out that the 55,000 mile, $29k 535i was a 10' model, while yours is still an 08'.

Thanks for supporting my comment.
Your points are pretty much what I was thinking.
Sorry Metalcolt. I didn't mean to offend you or your car.
It is a beauty. GLWS

No worries, no offense taken. I can see where you both are coming from, I suppose it mostly comes down to personal preference. An i6 is not a V8, turbo or not it still has less horsepower and torque. I personally like a V8 and am not a big fan of turbos, unless we are talking about diesels. Don't get me wrong I am not bagging on the i6 it is a really great motor, we have one in my wife's 530xi and love it, just don't like the idea of a turbo especially on a car I intend to keep for a long time up into higher mileage ranges.

And 20,000 miles is 20,000 miles, especially when it is someone else driving the car your buying, and we are talking about two cars that many people buy and drive hard or poorly and then get rid of them. Most of the people who love and take the best care of these cars are not the ones buying them brand new. I did not forget about the difference between 2008 and 2010, it is just that from my perspective it does not really account for much of a difference, definitely the least of anything we are discussing.

What if someone wants a reliable vehicle with multiple options? 550i's usually come with more options.
I ended up with 2 550i's in my family. 535i is a great car and is cheaper, though I didn't buy it for several reasons. Here are a few: 1) HFPF failures (not only N54, but N55 and new 4.4V8) plus I wanted the V8 but JB4 sounded very tempting, though HFPF +JB4 - no go in my book, 2) M-Aero kit with 172 rims looks better to me than M5 package (minus the quad exhaust). I was able to find a few 535s with M-Aero package, but not with 172 rims. Those that had both had aftermarket kits with most likely knock off rims.
It is funny how 535i vs 550i comparison always diverge to jb4. Probably 99.9% 535s are driven without JB4 or other serious mods. There is something called design margin/headroom. I can see 10% torque/hp increase with mod but 25% or higher, I always question why BMW engineers haven't implemented JB4 themselves and marketed one as 535i super sport.
