So this new to me 08 535xi cranks but no start.
it will fire on starting fluid. Codes 2ACC,2ACB 2E85,2E83,2E98,2E98
looks like a fault in the fuel system ignition system
There was a new pump in the car so i installled it as well as a new filter. Scanner pressure 6108 hpa fuel rail 17540hpa so there fuel ready
. Tested the old pump (works) darn.
So i found the DME location and found a mess, mice had found there way into the box. So i cleaned it all out liquid taped the chewed wires and cloth taped them up. Found a blue relay in the box i here it click. So its doing its job. Still the same no start. The injectors are not pulsing , no fuel, so thats next.also no spark.
So i have to keep at it.
any help suggestions would be great. I dont have any bmw style scanning tools as yet but i may have to visit getting one. I have the older creeder scanner so that is giving me basic info.

So the DME connector was corroded , not alot but some white corrosion and green on a couple connectors so i cleaned the dme connector with detox it liquid and contact cleaner. Sprayed inside , blew it out then applied (detox it) inside the connector and let it sit for a couple days. Then sprayed it out with contact cleaner and then air. Put detox it on it again for a couple days then repeat it. Well still didnt work . Cranks no starting. Any help?

I drove to ri. To pick up a used dme. I suspect that the dme may be bad because of the chewed wiring around it. And some of them were touching. Now to get it cloned.
So ive tried not to use the parts cannon. Ive checked and tested so many things in the car. I have a creader scanner that reads dcts even the bmw code that i can see. It does not read some things im sure. I tried to figure out what program /cable i need but not much help from bmw sites. So i struggle through reading everything i find.
So i set off the dme and it tested bad corrupted files.
so i sent a used good one with it with a cas and key.
got it back it started right up.
i did get codes but cleared them. And started fresh. So the transfercase motor is not working right. Its in limp mode.
so thats the servo motor thst engauges the 4x4. Ok easy fix.
but 3 days later it cold starts fine but runs terrible shakes stalls but stsrts right up. Does the same . If i shut it off it will start and run fine. But then i get a
3100 code boost presure control deactivation. Limp mode.
Wtf is going on with this? Also the mpg gauge stopped working also.
