Is 2008 535i with "Sport Package" lower ride height than NON-sport package 535i?
I know sport package includes sport suspension but is it actually lower in ride height than a non sport package? If yes, how much lower?
Thanks!

yes but i'm not sure by how much.
It DOES lower the car by .7 of an inch. Not much lower, but you will notice it if you park it next to a NON sport E60.
You can always buy a non sport and get springs and shocks... just a suggestion.

but then you won't get the active roll bars or the option of active steering.

Get it if you have the opportunity to. If you don't get it, you won't know what you are missing anyway. Best suggestion would be for you to test drive both. GL with your decision...
Seems most members that don't get the sport package end up mod'n the car for ride height (springs), suspension (sway bars, shocks, struts, etc..), and shadowline trim....
+1 for the ~.7" drop...

I know that Canadian Sport Package (we call it M Sport) is much more sophisticated than then US counterpart. The "M Pacakage" includes aluminum suspension components, bigger rims, bigger brakes, recalibrated spings and shocks (I would like to find out whether or not the active roll bars are also part of our sport package), M badges on the shifter and door sills and M aero kit.
It costs $5,200CDN and the US version is only $1,200

Thanks for all the replies and for clearing that up...much appreciated
Still not sure if I will be getting the sport package but I wanted to confirm the bit about the ride height. I will likely want to lower the car a little more than just the .7" but at least with sport package I can see what it looks like when I swap the wheels before deciding if it has to go lower. I am thinking about swapping the wheels for 20" versions of these ....
