I got a trans fault. Never looked at the codes nor drove it out of the garage. I knew it had to be the connector so I worked at it until it went a little further and that worked.

I have always done it based on the tranny pan
I also have the rear slightly higher I personally would rather a little more fluid than not enough Also remember the gear changes will be rough and hard for a little while till the computer works it all out |

OP, if you have reset the transmission adaptation, here is the ZF official relearn procedure. Go gentle on the transmission while it is relearning the values.
