Seems you still have an issue with a connection or solenoid. Below are some of your issues:

9c55 condensation sensor under rear view

A3AA Transmission Module Communication Error

AB01 Input, selector-lever position, implausible

E18F battery needs to be registered

D358 No message Transmission receiver DSC transmitter ESG/SMG

2DCA CAN Timeout EGS

Thanks, I'm starting to believe it is maybe the plug not fully seated even though the sleeve that spins to the right clicked convincing me it was locked in place however I was doing the work at a friend's and don't have a floor jack or jack stands at home to get back underneath and try pushing the plug in farther

What symptoms and troubles were you having before you correctly seated your plug?

I got a trans fault. Never looked at the codes nor drove it out of the garage. I knew it had to be the connector so I worked at it until it went a little further and that worked.

Great!
I love reading these success stories!

What's your thoughts on when filling tranny, car level based on the 4 jacking spots or bottom of the pan level? The first option makes the rear or the pan higher than the front

I have always done it based on the tranny pan

I also have the rear slightly higher
I personally would rather a little more fluid than not enough

Also remember the gear changes will be rough and hard for a little while till the computer works it all out

I've read your posts where you say sometimes 100 to 200 miles after resetting adaptations, but have you ever experienced transmission malfunction during that time or just hard rough shifting?

OP, if you have reset the transmission adaptation, here is the ZF official relearn procedure. Go gentle on the transmission while it is relearning the values.

I did once only
I would take the advice of ensuring your electrical connections are all perfect which could be your problem now since the transmission is pumping fluid and is full

After resetting the transmission it can sometimes slam into gear when it changes

This could cause a fault

Check your connections
Clear your fault codes and drive gently like it's your wife's car

For your review if you have reset the adaptation.
