Have you checked the mechatronic plug. I have seen this issue before and most of the time the plug was not seated all the way. It happened to me the first time. I thought I was seating it checked it multiple times and thought it was seated. I figured hey let me try to push it further and that did it. The pins on the plugs were not getting 100% contact allowing for malfunction. If it worked coming out then it will work going in. There is something that you are over looking causing you the issue.

Thanks I agree it's probably something small. I have no room to look inside but maybe I'll remove the rear transmission mount and inspect the plug again.
It's a little difficult but you can
I have huge hands but if I relax I have always been able to slide my hand up there and been able to change the plug
I feel like a big dummy, first for saving money and not buying zf parts, second for not noticing the bridge seal was missing o-rings on the smaller side. I dropped the valve body to check the pins in the plug and thought might as well check everything and after removing bridge seal I immediately noticed it was missing something, thanks for all the help. I will report back after I receive my zf parts I just ordered I'll try and attach pictures
I just did trans oil and couldn't fill with all 7.5 quarts of oil I drained. I ended up jacking the car up on the fill side only while the engine was running and was able to put back almost 7.5.
I too ended up with check trans message on idrive while driving off ramps with only about 4 quarts of oil in trans but it went away after filling to proper oil level.

Thanks hopefully when I get new parts all problems will be resolved
I got my new oem pan, mechatronics sleeve and mechatronics seal and I'm happy to report the tranny sucked up fluid upon starting it to allow me to add fluid, I originally bought 7 quarts but with all the changing and checking I lost more so I was unable to completely fill the tranny. After adding around 6 quarts I got no warning or check engine lights and with car on jack stands the car shifted smoothly with wheels spinning. I will post when the job is complete and I take it for a test drive
Well no success just yet, I finished filling the tranny today(I hope), using inpa I reset tranny adaptations. I took it easy driving and I experienced somewhat rough shifting in D, I made around a 20 mile round trip through area with a few stop lights, I began to notice rougher shifts at low speeds sometimes almost felt like a slip( rpm Rev before going in to gear), as I pulled onto my road which has an uphill at the start, tranny jerked again and dbc malfunction followed by transmission fault appeared. I made it home and cleared the codes and started it again this time just letting it idle. I could see the P on the cluster blinking along with clicking sounds under the gear selector. Then after about 3 minutes the codes came back. I will post pictures of the codes pulled using inpa
