I have noticed this almost 100 times now, the car beeps 4 times before the change of time from say 8:59 to 9:00
So for ever hour when the time gets to 59 minutes and 56 seconds, the car starts to beep. It will beep on the 56th second then on the 57th second then again on the 58th second and again on the 59th second and then the time changes to the next hour.

Wonder what its trying to tell me. The iDrive has no error messages or error codes.

Do any of you guys know the cause to this problem?

I had recently disconnected the battery and installed the Juice Box and only after that did this problem start.
The Car has 36K miles on it and had no electrical issues thus far.

Did you ever think that the car might be warning you of a potential bomb threat?

This has been asked sooo many times, that i just stopped telling people to search

Just remove the HOURLY Chime or whatever it's called in your clock on your idrive in settings

I actually like the beeping. Even tho my passengers give me WTF looks.

At least the OP was sharp enough to figure out that it happens hourly...that alone is way more than most people who ask about the "random beeping"...

It beeps every hour on the hour and OP still wasn't sure what it was doing. Hmmmm.
