05 55 525d Chug on Start up.

Chug on Start up.
Recently my 2005 55 plate 525d M Sport ( 6 cylinder) has started to "chug/misfire" very slightly just on start up, only last 3/5 seconds, or a couple of revs to clear and then stops. Doesn't do it when it's warm.
Having had it plugged in, it came up with a heated fuel filter blocked fault, and a Auxiliary heater fault ?
Changed the fuel filter but it's made no difference. (Diesel Filter under passenger footwell)
I dont think it's had the Swirl Flaps done, but it's something im planning on doing this weekend just in case.
Anyone any ideas ??? anyone seen this before ?

Hi,
I've got the same problem with you, even more worst. Mine is a 2004 54 plate 530d sport.
Start misfiring on start up but stop when its reach to a certain temperature.
went to the dealer and they said there are two injectors faulty, but made no differences after changed.
After that they cannot find any fault on the car, no fault codes, but they recommended to change the rest of the injectors.
Please, any suggestions would be appreciate!

Hi SanjSanj and KSKL,
Sorry for the delay in replying ! internet has been down at home !
It wont be the Glowplugs according to my independant, as they dont use them until the temp is below 0*c So that kinda rules them out.
I've taken the swirl flaps out last week, that also hasnt made any difference.
Only think I can think of is that it must be some sort of temp sensor which controls the fuel (choke in effect) on start up
As mentioned, the only three fault codes were Heated Fuel Filter blocked, (changed, but admitedly not for a genuine one) and the Aux heater fault, along with 6 glow plugs.
I have checked a few times, and cannot see any bubbles etc... in the clear fuel line under the bonnet... Unless it is simply the injectors, but KSKL seems to be having a worse problem ??

According to your fault codes, there are 6 glow plugs faulty, and it should be the problem of glow plugs control unit but not the glow plugs.
And I have searched lots of forums and there are some posts that are similar to our issue, and the problem has been fixed after the glow plugs control unit changed. And i am going to have a check of the glow plugs/control unit and sees there are any fault comes in.
And i will get the MAF, MAP sensor and EGR valve cleaned few days later when i am free and sees if there are any help.
Will do an undated once the jobs done!
(sorry for my bad english)
Thanks
