05 530I Stance With New Wheels/Tires
Hello everyone, I purchased a new to me 05 530I non sport with the 17~ wheels.
My question specifically is I would like a flush tire/wheel combo to fill up the wheel wells without dropping the vehicle I've read/heard the negatives and expense of the harder ride so I'm wondering can I possibly upgrade to say a 18 or 19 wheel with a taller tire to fill in the gap.
From the research I've done it looks like in a 18 a 255/40/18 & 285/40/18 or 245/35/19 & 285/30/19 would do the trick, I don't want to go into a sub 30 series tire with the roads here in Indianapolis and the potential rim damage.
I don't drive the car hard so a minor rub during a slow speed turn is no big deal.
Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Common tire sizes for 18" are 245/40/18 and 275/40/18 and for 19" are 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. Although some have mounted 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 to fill the gap better. Flushness depends on the offset of wheels.

The fronts are stock sizes, 245 and the rears are 275.
Do you have some suggestions as for offset to use to give the flush look for the size wheel/tires above, any help would really be appreciated.
It's all depending on what wheel you choose... Let me know what wheel you are looking at. If it is an OEM BMW 5 series wheel chances are I can tell you what spacer I have tried. I have had the most popular designs throughout my ownership. ie. 122's, 124's, 172's, and 166's.

And thanks for the help.
