Default 04 545i suspension maint?

Looking for front shocks/struts & what else needs to be reaced at 85k to keep it up to spec.?

Lately I feel more deflection over bumps. Thinking about some new shocks soon. I have the sports suspension:

S217A Active Steering
S226A Sports Suspension
S229A Dynamic Drive

I'm in the same boat...I'm curious as to how you proceed.

Hey what's up gangplank. I see you've made it over here too. When you replace your shocks you might want to have your top hats inspected and have your thrust arms looked at for worn bushings. If both those items are showing signs of wear then replace them the same time.

At 95k, I changed shocks/springs and the four front control arms. I did the springs because I upgraded to Eibachs. The car was floating at speed, so I knew the shocks were toast. The mechanic that installed my shocks and springs said the control arms were shot, and I replaced them myself for about $500 in parts. Easy job. The next task is changing the tie-rods and front rotors/pads. As for oil leaks, I make sure not to park in the driveway!
