bad, thats is quite bad, is it still running in period, as i remember my 330d consumed in the first 3000 miles,
its still bad, but not as bad as it was when i got it first had it, it eats more fuel then my 530d now
take back to the dealer, and let them know of it, and they say jack, then i suggest a ecu remap, only thing is its a petrol, and im not sure if remaps improve petrol cars mpg

You are doing about 20mph... going at slow speed (a lot of stop and go?), so your consumption will be high. I typically get about 20 to 21mpg on highway if I drive for long distance - over 200+ miles. On local highways, if I drive 50+ miles non-stop, doing about 80mph (this is my speed, not the average mph shown on OBC), my consumption will be about 17.5mpg. Lately the consumption has gone up, I am getting about 16.4 mpg since I am driving only about 15 miles to and from the station.
I don't normally reset the OBC each time I drive. The numbers would be different, and probably more accurate based on the driving distance and speed. Of course, we all know that the OBC accuracy is off in a lot of cases, and does not reflect reality. But then, that's a different story (or a different thread).

I am averaging 21.6 mpg. Most of my driving is in and around Houston. The 21.6 mpg is calculated manually after each fill-up. The car's computer is 1.5 mpg more optimistic, on average. My best has been 24.2 mpg. I have not taken drive long enough to determine my highway gas mileage.
