Question Gang...I have an '04 545i, do I have an ICV Valve? If so where is it located? Lastly, can it be cleaned?

Idle Control Valve.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but N62 does not have it. Variable intake manifold does the job.

And to answer your last question, yes it can be (assuming I6 engines). But I think usually ICV causes idle problems because of a broken pivot tab.

Thanks Fellas, I had a E34 '94 530i and it had one. I knew when it needed to be cleaned because my car would start to run kinda roughand sluggish like my 545 is doing. As always I appreciate the feedback. You all here have helped me to avert a lot of headaches by preventative maintainance and the like.
