04 545i Camshaft code advice needed
Hello all,
- I recently purchased an 04 545i and it is throwing codes:
P0390
P0024
P0102
P0021
P0306
Which are mainly Intake and exhaust camshaft position sensors for bank 2, MAF sensor, and cylinder 6-8 misfire. I purchased and installed both a new intake and exhaust camshaft sensor but it's still throwing the codes and idles like it has stage 3 cams. The previous owner did say that the last bit of work it had was the valve cover gaskets. My next route is to clean and/or order a MAF sensor since the vehicle hesitates on WOT. I have not done a tune up yet but that is on the near future list.
It's my first bimmer but I'm mechanically inclined so I'm not afraid of putting in the work, just need some direction. Any threads you guys know of that might help please leave the link. Feel free to ask any questions. Also the car has 215k mi on it so if there's anything else I should be replacing soon or looking out for then let me know. I plan on selling the car trouble free in a few months and putting it towards getting an F10 550 or M5 and just want it running right in the meantime.

Two questions
what are you reading these codes with?
have you cleared these codes at any time yet and see if they return?

A cheap OBDII scanner. Nothing fancy. And yes anytime I clear the codes the vehicle runs fine. But when the check engine light comes on it begins misfiring and goes into limp mode until I clear it again. After I clear it, it only comes back on when I'm either idling for too long and the rpms drop or after I've turned it off and then turned back on the car.
