I am looking into buying some 2003 18" 325 rims and tires. Does anyone know if those rims have the same pattern as a 2004 525? Will they fit my 2004 525? Thanks

My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed

The offset is wrong, but can be corrected by using appropriate wheelspacers to correct the offset.
The question is, if you want to do that. If they have tyres on, the tyre sizes will be wrong, too.

So I'd call it too much hassle, as you will be buying (not cheap) spacers and new tyres.

On a related note: does anyone know if I could put some 330 18" style 135 wheels on a '05 530i. They're currently on a '03 Z4 that will be turned in Feb. If possible, which tire and spacer size would be needed?

Has anyone tried this? Was ride quality affected much? I have the stock wheels on it now, the 135's would really change her look.

If they are originals they are 8x18 ET47 front and 8.5x18 ET50 rear. to correct them to E60 offset level, you would need a 30mm spacer on each corner. (hub mounted for that thickness) I think you can use 245/40/18 all round.

I, personally, would not do it. I'd rather look for a set of 135's from an E60/61.

The face of the 3 series 135's is also much flatter and not as nicely concave as on the 5 series 135's. (due to the different offset)
Also I am not sure how well your suspension setup would like the 30mm spacers. And the spacers will not be cheap, either.

Yes sir, they are 8 front and 8.5 rear. I'll take your advice and just sell those 135's (I"m sure they're popular over at the Z4 forums!). Then I'll look for some E60 135 18". Since I have to buy wheels and tires anyhow, maybe I'll just 166 19", they really look amazing:

I see there are some complications when putting that wheel on a 530i. I'm assume the 135's I could just put on myself once they're balanced.

with the correct tyre sizes (245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear) you can put the 166's on your car as easy as the 135's
