£280 for engine oil & brake fluid

I have just been quoted £173 for an oil service on my 530i E60. On that basis your brake fluid is £107!!!
I told them I didn't want a 'service' just an oil and filter change, as my cars have this every 6 months or 6k miles, and the price dropped to £123 all inc.
Tell them it's too expensive - also ask them what there labour rate is, you are in a large urban conorbation (sp) so there labour rate will be high I would have thought.

Shop around and try a dealer that is not in a big town with high labour rates.
I use scothall in Southampton and although i have had one or two problems with them (warranty) my car is a 2005 E60 530i M Sport and because it is more than 4 years old you get a 20% disocunt on labour rates so my oil change cost around £120 and that was oil and filter.
In regards to the brake fluid. The labour rate at birmingham was probably £100 and the brake fluid was £7!!
Doing brake fluid and bleeding the brakes i not a nice job so i would rather let the dealer do it
