My 1st post was about possibly buying a 525d 05 reg, is it being a manual likely to have a significant impact on its value? Obviously it depends on the milage (but I still havnt been to view it properly yet ) but does ?11995 for an 05 525d manual sound fair or could I get a decent amount knocked off? Bearing in mind the financial climate and the fact that I think the dealership is on its arse!

Im not to bothered wether its an auto or a manual, infact 525d manuals apparently DONT have swirl flaps!!!

Just FYI: I wouldn't be to sure about the swirl flaps not being there on a 525D 2005 model.....
Think the info on REALOEM of BMWFANS says otherwise.

You could argue if the swirlflaps are a reason NOT to buy a BMW 525D. You can always take them off/have them taken off if you want to have peace of mind.

Mate I paid ?11,100 for a '54 530D, black with grey leather, with 50K miles on the clock. Came with 19" Schnitzer wheels, and still within it's diamond service pack agreement.

I think you are paying a bit too much there to be fair, but like you said it depends on the milage.

What about service history?

Edit: mines an auto!

LOL! When I read the topic, I thought the BMW "manual" was going to be 11,995 pounds. That's an expensive freaking book!

I bought my 2004 525D SE Auto, with Leather, 18" Type 123 alloys, Adaptive Xenons, CD changer etc.... for ?11,995 only 3 weeks ago. Thats a good price, to be honest I prefer the manual box but I couldnt find any at the time. The 2005 will have intake swirl flaps, but I wouldnt let that put me off I'd simply remove them. Word of warning, the MPG around town is shocking in these cars.

I'd buy it,

Bob.
