I'm amazed this hasn't sparked more of a discussion. For the last 2 years everyone's wanted to know when the F10 will launch and when I tell you when it is, nobody reacts. Weird.

So no more 535i, instead a 540i? Is that right?

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
A fact is that BMW has always used some old engines for the model launch.
As the E60 old ones are with the F10 are the 3.0 L6 engines in 525i, 530i and the 540i (3.0 TT 306 hp) the 740i has 326 hp!
The F10 530d 245 hp engine has been in the E90/E91 for a while now and will next fall come
to the LCI E92/93.
Only the "new" F10 engines will be the 525d (*), 530d, 535d and the 550i.
* this engine must compete with the new 2.1 l TT M-B diesel that has
204 hp and 500 Nm.

The people who are most interested are probably expecting to see it in the F10 threads. I thought the date(s) had pretty much been decided, it's the actual look/features of the car that have everyone's curiosity.
+1 we already knew this would be a 2011 model, which its pretty standard that Germany would get theirs in the spring, and the US most if not all models come out and hit the showrooms in Sept. the MY prior
So no real surprizes here....and from what Ive seen fromt he pictures I am not overly impressed by the design yet. Will have to see it in real life before I get excited.
Also look at it this way boys, we'll still have the most recent body style in the US for the next year!!!
