Crap! I was sooo hoping they'll have a "555" model designation for the TT V8 either way, I can't wait to tap that engine...

oh, and I just recently read in Automobile magazine that the expected debut of F10 is for Fall 2010 (Frankfurt show, if I'm not mistaken).

I'm amazed this hasn't sparked more of a discussion. For the last 2 years everyone's wanted to know when the F10 will launch and when I tell you when it is, nobody reacts. Weird.

The car (F10) we will see at Frankfurt Car Show next fall as a Concept car.

The M5 will have the X5 and X6 M engine (TT 4.4 l V8) that has in practice whatever power.

I'm most interested about the torgue ratings in the new 525d TT 2.0 engine?
A wild guess is about 450 Nm at 1300 - 2300 rpm.

The 550i engine will be the new bi-turbo 4,4 l V8 (look up the F01).

If by "next fall" you mean fall 2010, no, it'll already be out on the streets by then. The launch is April 2010.

The M5 won't be a 4.4 liter, it'll be a 4.8 liter with 550PS

There was no mention of the torque from the new engines, just the (PS) horsepower (see first post).

So no more 535i, instead a 540i? Is that right?

Next fall meaning the autumn in '09, at Frankfurt.

I doubt the 4.8 l fact. No idea in that, since they just developed the new 4.4 l twin-turbo M-engine.

Actually 2.0 l L4, 3.0 l L6 and 4,4 l V8 is all BMW needs.

But turbo and twin-turbo 1,2 - 1.4 l L4's will come for the 1-series and Mini's
and TT 6.0 l V12's are a fact for the R-R and the 7-series, plus the hybrids, of course.

Probably. That'd make the most sense.

I can't imagine them making a mistake about the 4.8L. If that's what they're saying it's going to be, then it must be.

Well for me, I would like to see pics. Without pics and just dates, it's not that interesting.....
