Not sure what you are saying. This SIB says that all E60 with Option SA 609, CCC Nav are capable of MP3. If this guy has a 2004 530i and he has CCC with Nav, this should work.

I have been reading all your responses, thank you, also did more reading on this amazing forum, so it looks like it is possible,
Here is the thing, I had my private BMW shop (Not a dealer) update my CCC software, it took around 3 hours, (I trust this guys work and his word) and am i still not able to play MP3.
Some people on some forums say there is a especial way of burning CDs to make it work!!! IS that true?
Btw, I asked a local BMW dealer about updating the software and they all looked at me as if i was speaking a different language! LOL

I have asked over the phone and they said it was programmed correctly.
I wanna make sure i have everything checked out on my end before i go back to the shop and waste another 3 hours of my day for reprogramming.
tnx

mainuser12, I'm confused. I'm under the impression that the car was only available one of two ways: (1) CCC w/ Nav or (2) M-ASK. M-ASK is a different controller/headunit type. Why don't you run your VIN though this decoder and see what options you car has: BMW Model Archive · BMW VIN Decoder · bmwarchive.org

The early models without NAV cannot play MP3's due to hardware issue, all the programming in the BMW world will not make your car play MP3.......AFAIK anyway, verify what you have in the car CCC or M-ASK as your audio control unit assuming you have the latter you won't be listening to MP3's thru your CD player.
