My e39 528i is over heating just looking for some advice

Bleed the air out of your cooling system. First guess.

Would need to know a lot more information to help.

Hi Barry c 096,

Some words of advice... Do not let the overheating continue for any length of time and do not let the needle get near the red zone!! Right now you have a simple repair. These engines are known for blowing head gaskets and/or cracking the head if overheated. All of the advice is good, ensure the sytem is bled properly and if that doesn't help follow SD5series' advice.
