My Ride: Alpine White 2006 530Xi (SLD)
So for all the talk going around the forums each time an E39 is mentioned ("my favorite BMW of all times", "best 5 series ever designed", bla bla bla), I just wanted to point out that not too many of you guys put your money where you mouths are - you know, point it out in a funny challenging kind of way
So how about letting this be the the E39 pic post thread? Go ahead and share pics of your hot E39's here (unless you're just faking it with all those "I love the E39" comments )
Here's one of my favorite E39 shots:

Vlad, I had my titanium silver 2003 E39 540i Sport from 2003-2006. I leased it right at the end of E39 production. What a beauty it was. My mental image of it will always be burned into my mind. But alas, I did not have a digital camera at the time when I had my E39 so I don't have digital pics to post. I still remember how sad I was the day when I turned it in when its lease expired and at that time, the 2006 550i Sport was more than I could afford. So I went with a 2006 Infiniti M45 Sport -- a fine car but one that never replaced my 540 as my all time favorite sedan that I owned.

My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
I agree, the E39 was the best looking 5 series ever. Clean lines, subtly aggressive, comfortable and beautiful. Definitely one of my favorite BMW's of all time, still doesn't look dated either. Every time I see a clean example it brings a smile to my face.

Great looking E39 you had there and nice pics, thanks for sharing.
You do realise you would be branded ENVY if you went for the same look on your E60!! Just goes to show how times change

It's funny how times have changed. Back then, the M5 came with a chrome [wide] grill vs. the black [narrow] ones on the regular E39s. The trend was to get the M5 version. And I never got around to replacing the non-sport body trim molding and the chrome window trim. At least I had the Euro-spec headlights

The guy that runs MFEST has one of the hottest E39 M5's I've ever seen.
